Alpine Event - Schiestlhaus (2156 m) II (OC60AD)

The event will take place at the (new) Schiestlhaus, close to the Hochschwab summit on August 12, 2008, starting in the (late?) afternoon at an altitude of 2156 meters. Please be aware that the hike up to Hochschwab is not only strenuous (see http://www.schiestlhaus.at/Seiten/wanderrouten.html for various routes, but never forget to use a hiking map), but can also be very dangerous due to changing weather conditions (rain, fog!). For the same reason, the event will only take place if the weather and snow conditions are appropriate. Please do not forget to check back on the local weather report and the cache page if in doubt. If you plan to stay overnight (which is highly advisable) you have to take care for your reservations.
